The complexity of this specific type of documentation is constantly changing where different procedures exist depending on the type of document and/or their country of intended use. In most instances documents will need to be authenticated by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) however Hague Convention membership should but not in all cases reduce the procedure requirements.

This will usually involve arranging the documents to be Notarised, Authenticated by the FCO and Certification and/or Legalisation by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and Embassy or Consulate.
